Vintage 1940 Gibson L-5 L5PN archtop acoustic guitar. Prewar blonde cutaway L5. It is the one you want if you are looking for a great pre-war Gibson Archtop guitar. Blonde finish, pre-war, cutaway, all the right stuff. Sounds great. Beautiful original Kluson tuners with amber buttons. Original Patent Applied For tailpiece. Serial number FA - 50xx Factory # 762 E It is in really good overall condition, some wear but overall very nice. No breaks or cracks. It has been re-fretted and the fingerboard binding replaced. Incredibly good work, it plays like a dream, looks great. The gold plating is really clean so I would assume that at some point the metal hardware has been re-plated. Beautiful white pickguard. I cannot tell you for sure, but my guess is that it is a replacement. Two small strap button holes, one plugged, one open. Brown hard shell case with pink interior. I have lots of pictures, email if you want to see. Insured shipping $150 in the continental USA. Good luck bidding. Email for additional pictures. Payment required within 5 days of auction end.

Offering this abosolutly fine '53 d18 with one of the mystery tops. This guitar has a recent neckset, fret work and setup by Steve Kovacik . Minor top cracks on bass, along with upper pickguard crack were addressed and stablilized with recent neck set,ate and complete fret job, new saddle and nut installed with perfect bluegrass medium set up 7/64 big e 5/64 little e. with proper saddle height. A Mitchell plate mate has been added to inhance tone and prevent bridge plate wear. Light pick rash on top visible with pictures. Sometime in its life there was a side patch installed, very hard to see, looks like Martin factory work, at that time it appears to have been lightly oversprayed on the back, and sides, have to look closely. The mystery of the tops some say Engleman, some Adirondack. The pictures show the grain characteristics and variation of color of Adirondack. The sound is big and open with more boom, with a little less edge than you typically see in 60 yr old D18. This one is good to go.... no issues at all! It comes with the original Lifton case which is good condition. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, bridge, and peghead overlay sets off this excellent guitar ... a real investment for the future. No international sales, US lower 48 only. Best wishes

1960's era (not sure of the exact year) Vintage Harmony Sovereign H1260 Acoustic Guitar. Solid Spruce top with solid one piece mahogany back and sides. Action is about 4mm at the 12th fret. This was Harmony's top of the line acoustic and it feels like a high quality guitar. H1260's have been used by many of the greats over the years. Jimmy Page wrote, recorded, and performed Stairway to Heaven with Led Zeppelin using his 1960's H1260 - they definitely have that classic ladder braced sound. The truss rod cover is missing. The rod itself seems to be intact, but I do not guarantee it because I don't have the right tool to turn it. I did pull on it gently with a pair of pliers and it didn't move in or out. It does have the usual bumps and dings you would expect from a 50 year old guitar plus some cracks along one side, which are shown in the pictures (and just the slightest amount of separation at the bottom inch of the horn of the neck (almost all old acoustics do this)). You can glue them or leave them as is, the top, and to a lesser extent the back make 99% of the tone - and it's priced at less than half of what it would be if it was perfect condition. USA shipping/handling/insurance is only $39. Paypal payment is due immediately.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING ! 1967 Gibson J-50 ADJ, Excellent Gibson Flat Top No other Guitar has the Rich Booming Sound of a Vintage Gibson, you can tell it Blind Folded. There is no Comparison !!!! The J-50 was the most Sucessful Gibson ever built. This one is just amazing I have seen a lot of these over the Years this one stands out as the Best I have ever played. The body contours, sound, and the dynamics of the J-50 allow them to be extremely versatile. This guitar can play country, blues, folk, etc. The J-50 is the same guitar as the Gibson J-45 except for the natural top finish. This model was produced in 1967 and includes the larger pointed pickguard, a 20th fret, and a triple bound top. The J-50 has a spruce top with mahogany back and sides. This guitar also has the adjustable bridge. This guitar is a singer-songwriter or country strummer's dream. Strummed chords sound exactly as they should with that classic Gibson sound. Very balanced and breathy with nice clear overtones that blend well with other instruments. The J-45 is one of the best sounding guitars to strum in the recording studio and this J-50 has that same tone that we have heard on country recordings for decades FEATURES: · 1967 Gibson J-50 · Body Style: Round Shoulder · Top: Sitka Spruce · Back and Sides: Mahogany · Fingerboard and Bridge: Rosewood · Binding: Triple Bound Top, Single Bound Back · Backstrip: none · Pickguard: Tortoise J-50 · Fingerboard Inlay: None · Solid Peghead with Gibson Logo · Tuners: Nickel · Nut Width: 1-37/64" · Scale: 24 5/8" · Body Width: 16-1/8" · Body Length: 20-3/16" · Body Depth: 5-7/8 · Total Length: 40-3/4" · Original Hardshell Case Included CONDITION: There is no belly, fret wear, structural damage , neck issues, or a lot of playing wear of any kind. Just typical Gibson checking to the finish. The only real thing to report is that the Tuners have been changed to some nice Shallers, this was typical of real players wanting better intonation. This is a fantastic Guitar in Excellent shape, comes with the original Hard-Shell case you see pictured. VALUE: The Gibson Flat Tops are one of the Best Money Investment, Players on the Market. They are affordable and play and sound like no other. This Guitar I have had appraised at $2500.00 and that is below book. You look at the fact that is sounds better and plays Better than anything you can Buy new, and has a better Price. Well not to mention the fact that they go up every year in value. It is a no brainer. __________________________________________________________________ Remember all my items come to you fully insured at no additional cost to you.
1965 Gibson J-50 - Original - Great Tone! Here is an affordable original round shoulder J-50 with no major issues that has super tone and plays like butter! The pictures below tell the story. This guitar has been played but not abused. It's one of the good ones. It has a very even and clear sound that has developed over the years like a fine wine. A great guitar for recording and playing live. As you see in the pics, there are no headstock or neck breaks. A very solid guitar. At some time in it's life, someone had installed electronics with a volume knob and jack on the lower bout. Notice that has been removed and pluged back to normal. The action on this guitar is to die for. Measures less than 1/8" at 12th fret. The back of the neck is near perfect. Has 1-11/16" nut width. The neck profile is not thin and not fat...just right. At some point the pickguard was replaced. Actually, I believe the thinner guard may be part of the reason this has such good tone. Original Gibson pickguards were thick and held back top vibe. Comes with the original case, but it's seen better days....still strong, but ugly. If you're looking for a solid, great sonding player at the right price...here it is! I will be happy to answer any questions and entertain offers. Please email or call: 407 797-2002.
