NOT 16" Not 16.5 ITS 16.75" A RARER RARE SIZE & Scale, A P P O I N T M E N T S 1. a rare 16.75"(16 3/4)" wide guitar body (lower bout) this larger solid body guitar has a BOOMY tone 2. guitar body totale length 20 7/8" 3. SCALE this guitar is 25 5/8" from bridge to nut - AND NECK IS STRAIGHT!!!! note the hand carved bridge has a unique LONGER scale for the b string that is 25 3/4" c picks ( also note, this longer scale on the 5th string makes a distinctive tone that is uniquely Gretsch) 5. rare dark tortoise binding, bound front bound, back bound, bound cats eye sound hole EVEN THE PICK GUARD is bound 6. sealed back stalk original tuner 7. CATS EYE SOUND HOLES, A RARE GUITAR THAT HOLDS ITS VALUE 8. hand carved stair steep arc deco bridge 9. rare nickle harp tail piece the word Gretsch actually engraved in tail piece by HAND - see pics, later Gretsch would have this logo stamped in by machine... this a true early true vintage harp one of the few we HAVE EVER seen (no cracks) 10. COMES WITH VINTAGE GIBSON GRETSCH AND FENDER STRINGS - + polish cloth P R O O F O F A G E Gretsch DIDNT LABEL these (just pencil markings) inside if you are lucky enough to find one, A few signs of 60-70 YEARS of age is 1. finish has dulled and show age with small tiny scuffs, and the occasional small dent or scratch. 2. Binding has aged, BUT still holding tigHt, here and there you see a tiny split or a crack/chip BUT OVERALL VERY GOOD FOR AGE 3. Its hard to see but 2 small holes are in back of headstock to "HANG" guitar from wall, - back in the 40s a company made Guitar HOOK to hang a guitar from a wall- this shows those 2 holes - DOES NOT effect anything but if you wan a perfect guitar that has never been played skip this one, it has been around for decades decades decades and ..well you get he picture. YOU RARELY FIND THESE IN BLOND, ALL BOUND IT TORTOISE WITH THE RARE SEE THRU TRANSLUCENT BOUND GUARD...AND THE HAND CARDED BRIDGE AND THE HAND ENGRAVED TAIL- MAKE ME AN OFFER FOLKS, JUST light use and is VERY RARE!!
