1939 Gibson L-12 Acoustic Arch-top Very NIce & Original Here is a very fine, original example of a rarely seen Gibson L-12 archtop that was produced in 1939. This one is certainly a very nice guitar. It is completely original in all regards. The finish is in very good condition with only some crazing throughout. I see no cracks or issues, only the back center seam appears to have been reglued. The bridge, tailpiece and tuning machines are all original. It features the pre-war script Gibson logo with a unique peghead inlay pattern. The 17" body is bound with multi-ply binding. The original pickguard is not present and appears to have crumbled. This is a great playing and sounding jazz box. It comes in its original tweed hardshell case. I don't think you will find a much nicer example. The serial number is EA-5299.
